The question
Inside my head
So loud and clear

Where has our humanity gone?

Have we become so self-centred?

That we forget what it means

To be a human being?

Have we lost our humanity?

Are we on the verge

Of becoming something so much worse?

In the news

People are dying

Whether by our own weapons

Or by Mother Nature's wrath

People are suffering
In the harsh reality that is Life
And yet
Little is done

We bicker amongst ourselves

We fight for power

That is not ours at all

Or is beyond our reach

We are consumed by our greed

And our pride

And our own need to survive

That we push everything else behind us

Are we falling from grace?
I can say that we are
God won't be too happy about this

Neither would I

But then again

What's a man to do?
