Updates

At last, the holidays are here. CNY dawns, and 'angpau' await to be collected!

I have to say it's been quite a hectic time we have had so far, in spite of the fact it's just January. Things tend to happen when it's least expected. I guess it's just part and parcel of Life.

I can easily say I've had a heck of a time. Ups and downs, ups and downs, north and south. Going uphill and downhill. Can't really say I enjoyed much of it, but still Life goes on. Anything goes, I say.

I also realized something: how I interact with people is mostly based on how I can relate myself to them. Sometimes, people who others deem irrational may just seem fine with me. Others who people connect with without much difficulty may just seem to be the total opposite with me.

It's all in the Lens Principle. Who we are determines what we see.

I've only recently put a stop to hostilities I had with a friend. I have to admit both sides are in the blame to it's cause, but I guess in the end I decided to be the bigger person and end the misunderstanding. I believe that wasting energy and effort getting angry over it is not going to get me anywhere. Live and let live.

And speaking of the Lens Principle (which I will post sometime later in future) I wonder what kind of impression I have with most people. With the fact I found out rumors of me have been circulating much more widely (perhaps as much as that of RJ) it kinda makes me wonder what people actually see in me.

Do I portray the qualities of a jerk? A genius? A thinker? A nitwit? A fool? A friend? An ass? What then?

Sigh.

Random Thoughts

We people are so hard to fathom.

JCard Day just passed recently, and the crowd was HUGE, as if the entire city of Ipoh came and went on that one day. Cashiers worked non-stop to handle customers that wanted to pay for their goods. Promoters skedaddled here and there to serve the masses. At each department, wares were scattered all over the place. Everyone was edging here and there to squeeze in and look around. And walk. Walk. Walk. And buy.

Sigh.

I guess it goes to show how much people love to shop.

But doesn't this show how much we waste our money? Well, maybe not in some cases. Everyone is buying something at a reasonable price. With discounts up to 70 percent, who can resist? Especially clothing. Oh my, the throngs of people was quite a sight.

Yeah. Shopping. And JCard Day. Plus, it's the holiday season. And what a marvelous mess.

Cheers for now.

Boring

Boring days ahead.

Holidays are coming. That means homework, part-time work, house work, loneliness, computer gaming, family outings and such.

And maybe some time off with friends. That'd be awesome!

Thoughts From INTI

Ah, INTI. So glad to be back in your walls.

Ah-ha, if you think I'm crazy, I'm actually fine and dandy. It's just sentimental feelings after coming back to a place where I met lots of great people and had loads of great fun! That was all last year, at the inaugural Youth Empowerment Camp of 2009, where me and my other buddies had the time of our life.

If you're wondering how I'm blogging this when you know I don't have a laptop or portable Internet gizmos whatsoever, I'm actually at a CC within the campus area itself! I mean, a CC! In a campus! WTF?

Indeed, INTI's a big place. Apart from the numerous halls of residence, it boasts cool facilities, awesome labs and classes, great food, and loads of other cool stuff! (If you wanna know more, though, you'd have to ask Thomas, 'cos he's studying there)

The only reason I'm here is just to see old friends and have loads of fun in the process. I'm not exactly THAT interested in studying here, especially due to the high prices I'd have to pay just to study here. Believe me, I can't afford the lifestyle of Nilai. Might as well complete my F6 first before moving on.

Well, gotta go now. Will keep you posted with other notes and what-nots, but I can't promise you they'll be posted early. See ya soon, readers!

Updates

Hey people. Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you readers!

Secondly, all the best to all those who have gone for NS. You may not read this, but I hope the message reaches out to you! =)

Thirdly, FYI, I'm now working at Parkson's Electrical Department. I'm on break now, so no worries about me not doing what I'm supposed to do. If any of you intend to just drop by then just come on over!

Also, I'm playing the awesome game Borderlands, where my character's now Level 32 or so. Not bragging, but this is just an update post right?

If you just came back from NS for a short break, just drop me a call!

And I'll see you guys soon. =)

Christmas!

Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year

Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share

Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there

Christmas time is here
We'll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year...

~ Sung in 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'

MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!

Updates

If you're reading this, I'm now at INTI's IT lab on the last day of the Youth Empowerment 2009. We're just learning of the basics of blogging (which I know, obviously. LOL) and I'm actually having quite a blast! Well, of course, since I've not been blogging for quite some time, save for my scheduled posts. And maybe even pick up a few new tricks or two.

I must say, I've learned a lot more from this two-day course - a little more than what I learned in the LTC I went last year. Sure, there are some of the usual messages that we learn in leadership building courses, but I must admit it was VERY fun! I must applaud all the participants for showing so much passion and spunk throughout the entire course.

Oh yes, I'll miss my days here.

And kudos to Dr. Sia who gave loads of very useful advice, the Alpha Team of facilitators and everyone else involved in the entire programme. I salute the participants as well, especially those such as Natasya, Thomas, R.J., Marjan, Phillip, Justin Chen, Thean Soong, and anyone else who has really performed well.

Till we meet again, I bid you adieu!

Updates

Well, I must say that I've a packed schedule ahead of me. Firstly, heading to Penang for Aunt's wedding and then to Nilai for INTI's Youth Empowerment. Well, I'll bet that I'm gonna have a good time.

As for you people, I hope that you're having a great holiday season, before NS dawns upon you. Yes, while you guys linger in a camp for 3 months, I'll be here earning a living! Haha!

Ahem, anyway, I'll try to get back to you people ASAP. In the meantime, have a nice day!

What I've Done

Recently? Nothing much. Just studying, playing on my comp, building new StarCraft campaigns for my entertainment, stuff like that. SPM's on the way, man, so obviously I do study!

How're your studies coming along? Good, I hope. The Trials were only the beginning, and I'm sure the Real Deal is tougher and freakier. So what can we expect? A few months of panic, grief, despair and boredom. Oh well, at least we have friends around the corner. They're there to help us out of the misery of the coming Apocalypse.

So in the meantime, get back to work! There's a long road up ahead for us to cross.

Penguins!
