Been listening to David Archuleta's Elevator, and despite the fact I'm no Arch-angel (the term used to describe his fans) I have to give the song credit:
Elevator goes up
Elevator come down
And you just go with the flow
Until your feet are back on the ground
It's an endless ride
Sometimes it takes you up
Sometimes it tears you down inside
But it's the butterflies
That keep you feeling so alive, so alive
You gotta get back that high
If he is indeed singing about life, then he'd hit the right notes.
Life is like an elevator. There are days when we are up; there are days when we are down. The reality is that we can never be happy at all times. God gave us challenges to build us up, not tear us down.
I guess we should just go with the flow. Bad days can't always be avoided, so might as well accept it and try to work things out for the better. Mayhaps, things will go uphill again.
Life is simple. It's only that we make it complex for ourselves.
